We love their beef Manhattan And great service

I visited from out of town looking for home cooking / comfort food. I was not disappointed. Excellent food at a reasonable price.

Our family had reservations there to gather after the funeral of our beloved mother and grandmother. The owner there set us up with some house specials on top of what we ordered and might I say it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive all while there being so many of us there, including some of us from out of state. Wonderful place/atmosphere to enjoy with good food. Give it a try because it's worth the experience.

This place has amazing food. The tenderloin will blow away any state fair or elsewhere's without question. It's massive and not thin at all. Tasted closer to a breaded chicken sandwich than any other tenderloin I've had. They also made homemade ribbon fries which were great. Don't hesitate to pick up a shirt from them either. The proceeds go to support local veterans. I can't rave about The Tin Plate enough.

First visit today after several recommendations for the tenderloin and my husband was not disappointed. I had the Manhattan and it was a little sweet for my liking. Prices are great for the amount of food you get too. Service was awesome the ladies move fast! It looks like just a tavern from the outside, but it is family friendly.

Love the atmosphere. The food is awesome. Most of all, I love their ever present dedication to our veterans.

Love their tenderloins as big as your head, but thick and tender - most of the dishes are from scratch, and are very tasty. Would recommend the shaved prime rib sandwich - ask for grilled onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese on it. Then get ready to eat that sandwich with a fork. Add a side of ribbon fries (the BEST) and you're good to go!

My friends really enjoyed the chicken salad, ribbon fries, & loaded potato soup. I had the 1/2 lb mushroom swiss burger, it was excellent but brought over half of it home!

Great place! Very delicious tenderloin. So big you can definitely share. Get the ribbon fries too. Yum! And the cole slaw is so yummy that we got another order to go. Great service too~

My wife and I went there with another couple. The service was slow, but we are used to that we have been several times and the service has never been great. My wife asked what was in one of the drinks and was told it was top secret and could not be shared. This is disturbing because some people have allergies to certain things. I have eaten at several high end places and have never not seen on the menu what was in a drink or when asked. My wife and I got wings to share they were excellent as usual (only reason we keep going back), our friends got a tenderloin which was not hot when it came out and a steak which was cooked correctly but was literally cold to touch. They would not complain because they are not like that, but to try and get them to go back is going to be impossible. It is their third time and Everytime something is wrong.

Tasty food, great service, fair pricing. Will be back again and highly recommend to others.

Try Indiana's BEST tenderloin or any of the other excellent menu options offered at affordable prices. Even with a full house service was great. Tin Plate offers enormous selection of craft beer and cocktails sure to please. Well worth the drive for this must visit "dive"

It should be well expected to go to a place in a small town that has very limited options for vegetarians. So I didn’t get my hopes up there. But I was able to order a grilled cheese and fries. It was not worth it. They used two large pieces of toast with only a single slice of cheese, so basically like eating dry toast. Fries tasted like they had been freezer burn and just warmed up. No seasoning whatsoever. I mean, if you eat meat, I was told the tenderloin was delicious, so maybe they do that better than their non-meat options. Also, it’s is very dark inside and smelled like mildew.

They have the best prime rib I have ever had on Fridays.

Used to love this place but now sadly almost none of the pictures menu items are available. No fired foods if any kind. Salads not fries with you burger. But that's okay because they only have 2 to chose from, and tonight only 3 other entrees at all. So if you want a great beer with friendly people served with a side of under cooked burger and disappointment, this is the place.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere

Really good food, great tasting! The atmosphere fits our town's community. Great place for the guys or the gals. The wait was a bit long, nothing too much though, however I do feel like food proportion for a few items to price was a little steep. Otherwise, it was a good evening spent with family.

Great food, great atmosphere. In a town that doesn’t have a huge selection of places to eat I will definitely be going back. Also, the tenderloins were huge and the best I’ve ever had!

Food was very good, service was poor. Waited around 35 minutes for food after ordering. They were not busy. About half the tables were open. Ordered a Margarita on the rocks. First one was right, and it was a good Margarita. The second was frozen, not on-the-rocks. The first was served in a fish-bowl. We were told they ran out of Margarita glasses, so the second (frozen) was in a large milk-shake looking glass. After a time the waitress did check on us, and the service did get better. I would go back for the food, but not if I thought it would be the same level of service. Most restaurants have good service. Please improve yours. 😕
